There are three main types:
- Metal dental crowns (silver or gold colour)
- Porcelain bonded to metal dental crowns (tooth-coloured with a metal core)
- All porcelain dental crowns (tooth-coloured, metal-free, and natural-looking)

During the procedure:
- The tooth is shaped to fit the dental crown, ensuring a strong and natural-looking result.
- We use our Trios 3 Shape Dental scanner to create a scan, this then allows us to create a custom dental crown, matching the colour to your other teeth.
- While waiting for the dental crown from the dental lab, a temporary dental crown may be placed to protect your tooth.
- Once ready, the new dental crown is cemented to your tooth in a follow-up appointment, and adjustments are made for a perfect fit.
