At Spondon Dental, we pride ourselves in preventative care and believe it should start from an early age. This also helps to ensure a comfortable dental experience for your child. Early regular check-ups help kids get used to the dental setting, allowing us to spot and prevent any dental issues as their teeth grow. Studies reveal that early dental visits contribute to a positive experience, helping children grow up without fearing the dentist.
What we offer:
- Our warm team ensures a safe, secure, and caring environment for your child, we also reward them with a sticker after their visit - a gesture we have found they love!
- To further calm the nerves our practice is equipped with TVs in each room and TVs on the ceiling in downstairs surgeries. We find this helps our patients relax and get comfortable and pass any waiting time they may experience.
- If needed, we will refer your child to an orthodontist for braces at the right development stage. we have an experienced in-house orthodontic practitioner; Dr Neel, who can provide dental braces for your child at the practice.
Prevention is key, so contact our friendly reception staff; either Emily, Lisa, or Vanessa, to schedule your child’s appointment for a happy, healthy smile.

We encourage parents to bring in children when their first teeth appear. Bringing them in young enables us to assess them and provide you with essential advice. It also reduces the risk of fear in the future.
Even though children lose their milk teeth it is important to maintain good oral hygiene to keep their mouths and gums healthy to reduce the risk of teeth extractions or other complications.
At Spondon we are prepared for nervous patients. All our dentists are well trained and experienced to help our patients big and small.
If your child has teeth, eats, and drinks, then regular checks at the dentist are always a good idea. You do not have to wait for something to be wrong to get their teeth checked out.
